There were three of us (daughter, mother, step-dad) who had traveled together before in Africa but we were in for a "once in a life time experience" to tour Egypt and Jordan. Our drivers and guides were the best and very informative. We were also impressed with the hand off to the Mount of Olives Tours Tayarout, to continue our touring in Israel. Adel was an excelent driver and Imad Ghannam was the best tour guide we could have hoped for in Israel. We would recommend both tour companies and their guides. They did an excellent job. I just wish that I could remember all of their names to give them all a personal THANK YOU!!

As a small group consisting of three generations of strong and independent personalities, not one of us easily led, we knew we needed a tour company with a special touch. GTE served us admirably, preparing an ambitious tour that included Cairo, Nile cruise, and Sharm al Sheikh. All the guides and drivers were friendly, patient, and accommodating to our many special needs. We really needed the "royal treatment" and are deeply grateful to GTE for providing us with an experience I know we couldn't have gotten elsewhere. Special thanks to Jasmeen and Tamr for being such lovely people - it was a real pleasure to meet you and we won't forget!

GTE organised a bespoke itinerary for or 8 day trip to Cairo followed by a Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan. Manal was extremely helpful in recommended and organsing a tour to meet our exact requirements.
All elements of our holiday were spot on, the hotels, the cruise ship and our excellent guides Nehuir and Eimad in Cairo and Cruise. Every element of our travels were organised and we were accompanied from arriving in Cairo airport to whe we checked in for our flight home 8 days later.
I have not come across a bette travel company in over 20 years of global travel and would highly recommend this professional outfit

We are a group of well travelled mature friends who decided we would like to leisurely travel the Nile on a Dahabiya. From the first contact with Manal at Gateway we knew that here was an organisation that could help us to shape a memorable trip and we have not been disappointed. Indeed we all think that this became "the trip of a lifetime" and the best holiday experience for all of us.
The hotels (Mena House in Cairo, Sonesta St George in Luxor, our Nubian Guest House in Abu Simbel and finally the Fairmont Heliopolis in Cairo )were superb. Our tour reps were courteous,helpful and always there to greet us with first class transportation and very good drivers.
We have been lucky enough to learn so much about not only the incredible historic past of Egypt, but also by visiting villages, farms and markets to discover the friendliness and hospitality of the people.
Our dahabiya (the Princess Hannah) was beautiful clean, spacious and so relaxing. The crew provided super meals and joined in our "fancy dress night" with their own african dances and songs. It was well beyond our expectations.
Our egyptologists were very knowledgable, spoke good english and made our trips so interesting and enjoyable.
Mohamed took us around Luxor, Karnak and Valley of the Kings and then sailed with us to Aswan. His great sense of humour and wonderful ease of explanation gave us a real insight into egyptian history. In our opinion Gateway must have one of the very best guides in Mohamed.
It would be difficult to think of any one part of our trip as being better than another but Abu Simbel and the "sound & light show" should not be missed at any price.
Our trip was perfect, flexible and we were treated like VIPs
throughout.

We just came back from a fabulous vacation with Gateway to Egypt! Manal couldn't have been more wonderful- answering all of my questions and giving me information about things I hadn't even thought of! From the moment we got off the plane everyone was super helpful and fun and went above and beyond to make sure our trip was extra special. The staff couldn't be more amazing (especially Tamer and Sary)- I would recommend Gateway for anybody planning a trip to Egypt!!!

Gateway to Egypt is truly as good as everyone claims. They were extremely attentive to our needs, even to changing our cruise boat in the last minute to make sure our allergies would not be an issues. Manal was so pleasant and nice to work with. We had a great guide- Emad Samara fom Luxor to Aswan. Never had so much been explained to us. It is so unusual to find a company who truly cares for its clients. Would highly recommend this to everyone.

My dad, brother and I would recommend Gateway to Egypt highly to anyone considering a trip to Egypt. I was the one that researched the trip for us and ran into quite a few roadblocks along the way. We wanted to sail the Nile on a dahabiya and one operator said they were all sold out, another said we had to pay for the entire dahabiya...Gateway found us a beautiful dahabiya that we shared with other travellers and it was affordable. We stayed at great properties with amazing views...in other words not only a great hotel, but a great view and room as well. Our Egyptologists were excellent, spoke great english and made our trip extra rich. In short, we loved the people that worked with Gateway and had an amazing time in Egypt and Jordan. We would use them again in a heartbeat!

I second everything other people have written on this website and would not hesitate to recommend Gateway to Egypt to anyone. My friend Josephine and I had such amazing experiences and the holiday of a lifetime (Feb 2009) and were treated like royalty from stepping off the plane in Cairo to being called at 04:30 by our tour guide to wish us bon voyage when leaving for Luxor airport en route back home. I knew the historical sites would be mind blowing but was also totally overwhelmed by the Egyptian people and their kindness, friendliness and sense of fun. This is no ordinary tour - you really feel as if you get to know another culture and any preconceived notions I may have had were completely overturned. There were so many highlights it's difficult to pick one but, even though it may seem a long way into the desert, don't miss Abu Simbel - the sound and light show under the black velvet starry sky, the incredible paintings inside the temples and the absolute peace were wonderful! I definitely plan to return to Egypt again one day.

I have just come back from the most amazing holiday in Egypt with Gateway. I have fallen in love with this country and with its amazing, generous people. I felt that the staff without exception bent over backwards to see that we enjoyed our visit. In addition i feel that i have been educated in the culture of both ancient and modern Egypt. It was wonderful to be shown Egypt by such helpful and knowledgeable staff. I can not speak highly enough of everyone involved in making my trip so memorable and i shall certainly return as soon as i can. Leaving was so hard! My thanks to you all, in particular Emad, Jasmin and Allah who looked after me and my friend every step of the way. I am telling everyone i know about Gatewayto Egypt!

We had a wonderful, wonderful holiday which was organised so that we were never inconvenienced from the start to the finish of our tour. Our guides were knowledgable, friendly, helpful, and we were sorry on both occasions to say goodbye to them. Gateway staff went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable holiday, and we did. Very hard to beat this in the future. In fact, we plan to go back next year. Great accommodation in Cairo and we really enjoyed our time cruising on the Nile. Wish we'd had more time. Fantastic Egypt.

From the initial enquiry e mail to our goodbyes at the airport, we were looked after and made feel unique.
Egypt undeniably has the most incredible monuments to time, but for us it was the very unpretentious way the people of Egypt shared their history that impressed us.
For anyone traveling with young children, this is a perfect destination!

Gateway to Egypt and its staff is absolutely fantastic. Very professional and great people as well. We were amazed at how organized the trip was and at the same time how flexible it was. The reps in all of the cities, as well as the tour guides, went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at ease in their country. We felt safe and watched over every step of the trip which made the trip so much more pleasant. We felt personal attention all the way and felt like VIPs. We were able to do/see a lot and at the same time get a chance at the relaxation time. Our requests/needs were addressed right away and we felt like we were among our friends and family. The sights were unbelievable, but so were the people - warm, caring, friendly. Our personal tour guides were knowledgeable, spoke great English and were just wonderful people!
We would use Gateway to Egypt in a heartbeat again if we would plan another visit to Egypt! And we truly hope to be able to do so again! We will also recommend it to our friends and family who are interested in the similar trip. The company definitely helped create an unforgettable and happy memory!

Gateway to Egypt is a fantastic company!!! Absolutely professional and worth every penny. We were greeted at all the airports right out of the plane. They took care of our visa getting into Cairo, handled all our luggage, and checked us into all hotels and the cruise. We had a great guide that was with us the whole way (On the flights, river cruise, all tours etc.). VERY safe and secure. Always picked up at the airports and were walked right to the private van. No tour busses with tons of people to wait for. No haggling for camel rides...already set up. All tickets to the temples, flights, nile cruise, hotels(good ones) shows and many meals were part of the deal. We really can't say enough about Gateway. All you have to do is show up for your tour whenever you agree you want to take off. Flexible itineraries too...if you want to change something, they will do it if at all possible. Thanks to Wendy, Murray & Georgie for the recommendation, and thanks to Gateway for making this truly a trip of a lifetime.

Our long awaited trip to Egypt was far better than we ever could have hoped for. We travel frequently, and with a five year old (who had her 6th birthday in Egypt) in tow can find the run of the mill tours taxing to say the least. Gateway were one of the most professional agents we have ever used. 'tailor made' was just that, their staff know their stuff, and we could not fault a single part of the trip. From the initial planning to the royal treatment from the moment we stepped of the plane till getting back on again. Thanks to everyone, we hope to see you all again soon.

It was a wonderful holiday from our first sight of the Pyramids of Giza, to our overnight train journey to Luxor, our visit to the Valley of the Kings, four lazy days cruising down the Nile and finally that visit to Abu Simbel, which a Yorkshire woman described to us as "Everything I had expected and more".

The friendliness and hospitality of the people, the fresh and flavorful taste of the food, the amazing places we visited, the way it was organized (impeccable); everything was just perfect. We have travelled with Gateway To Egypt in Jan 2007. We booked the "tailor-made tour," and then we were pleasantly surprised to find out that it actually was designed to accommodate some flexibility and personal scheduling preferences -- it was not just an advertising slogan. We've traveled quite a bit and rarely sign up for tour services, but we must admit that we really appreciated the personal assistance at the airports and at the various tourist sites.

Wow, our tailor made holiday to Egypt really was the best holiday we've ever been on. We were treated like royalty and nothing was too much trouble - it was even taken in good spirit by the operator's staff when we lost our train tickets, and sorted out the same day.

An amazing experience… it was absolutely wonderful. The tour operator provided an excellent service with professional guides and representatives. Someone was always there to greet us and assist us at each leg of the tour. We never had to worry about a thing. They were even flexible enough to adjust the tour to suit our needs, take advantage of the weather, and rearrange some site visits when our Nile cruise ship got behind schedule. The holiday exceeded our expectations in many ways. We highly recommend booking it through this operator if you are planning a holiday to Egypt.
