1 - Saturday - Luxor,

The tour begins this morning in the lobby of Sonesta St. George hotel in Luxor. Your guide will meet you at 8 am to begin the sightseeing tour to Luxor west bank. Few days before the tour starts, you will have the mobile number of your tour guide so you can communicate for final confirmations and schedule. The transportation used in a private air conditioned van for the group. You will visit Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut & the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant on the west bank. After lunch you will drive back to the East bank to visit the Karnak Temples, the largest religious complex in the ancient world. Afterwards you will head to Luxor Temple located in the heart of Luxor and along the Nile. There you will enjoy a magnificent scene of sunset while walking through this massive structure. At the completion of the tour, you will drive back to your hotel located few minutes drive from Luxor Temple. Evening at Leisure.

2 – Sunday - Luxor / Esna,

Breakfast at hotel before check out. Board your private transportation, air conditioned van, and head to Esna town located 60 KM south of Luxor. Arrive Esna by 11 AM and visit the Temple of Esna. After the guided tour you will drive for 10 minutes to reach your vessel and check in for your 5 nights cruise. Lunch will be served on the sundeck while sailing and enjoying the scenery along the Nile. Dinner on board.

3 – Monday - Edfu / Horemheb (Gabal El Silsila),

Breakfast on board. Morning visit to the Temple of Horus, the largest and most perfectly preserved of all the Nile temples. Horus, was the falcon-headed god. We will use the traditional horse-drawn carriages to travel to the temple. This journey is about 15 minutes on the carriage. The ride will take you through the streets of Edfu, a busy commercial town along the Nile. Return back on board. Lunch will be served while sailing. Our next visit this afternoon is to Gabal El Sisilah where the Ancient Egyptians cut the sandstone blocks used in building all the temples you see along the river in southern Egypt. The stone masons had built several tombs, shrines and temples in the area. We will visit the Horemheb Temple which has vibrant colors still preserved on its walls. The whole area of Gabal El Silsila is accessible by walking from the boat, no transportation is required. Gabal El Silsila is an off the beaten track site where large cruise ships does not visit. Only small boats can dock on the area. Dinner and Overnight.

4 – Tuesday - Horemheb / Faris,

Breakfast on board. We sail out of Silsilah towards the town of Faris. A quite typical town of date palm farmers. As palm trees are the main crop of the area, a fascinating local industry is established in the area. The date palm frond are used to make furniture of all sizes. We will have the chance to walk through the palm orchards and meet the farmers and makers of date palm furniture. To night we dock on a small island with hardly any lights in the area. A great chance for star gazers to watch a clear night sky and probably see some shooting stars. Dinner and Overnight.

5 – Wednesday - Fares / Kom Ombo / Daraw,

Breakfast on board. Morning sailing towards Kom Ombo. This will be another relaxing morning of leisurely sailing along the Nile with mane scenery to gaze at. Lunch on board. Afternoon visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo, a unique double temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile, and Horus the falcon. The temple stands at a bend in the Nile where, in ancient times, sacred crocodiles basked in the sun on the riverbank and the mummified crocodile and the preserved Nilometer. Kom Ombo temple was a famous healing center in Ancient Egypt. Here we will see the most clear depiction of medical tools used in the ancient times. The temple is within a walking distance from the dock. Sail to Daraw where we will dock for the night.

6 – Thursday - Daraw / Aswan,

Breakfast on board. Morning sailing towards Aswan. Lunch on board while sailing. Arrive Aswan in the afternoon. Evening city tour of Aswan where we visit it's busy spice market and walk along the corniche street. Farewell dinner on board. Overnight at Aswan.

7 – Friday - Aswan,

Check out after Breakfast. Final sightseeing tour to Aswan highlights, the high Dam, Granite Quarries for the unfinished obelisk & Philae temple with its magnificent location on an Island behind Aswan Reservoir. At the completion of the tour, your driver will drop you at your desired destination depending on the rest of your plan, train station, Aswan airport or a hotel in Aswan. End of tour. You can opt to choose additional add ons to the trip. We can organize any of the following for you: An overnight in Abu Simbel to visit Ramses the second temple & enjoy the sound & light show. Accommodation is offered at a beautiful family run eco lodge. Cairo city break to visit the Giza Pyramids & Cairo museum where the golden treasure of Tutankhamun is on display. Beach break at the Red Sea city of Sharm El Shiekh or Ain El Sokhna.
